Ingredients

  • ½ cup quick oats
  • 2 tbsp hemp hearts
  • ¾ cup water
  • ¼ cup oat milk
  • Flavour Options see Notes
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  • In a small sauce pan, bring the water and oat milk to a boil. Then, reduce the heat to a simmer and add in the oats.
  • Continue cooking until the mixture thickens and the liquid is mostly absorbed. About 3-5 minutes. Then, when almost all liquid is absorbed, add in your fruit or flavour combination and stir in to warm and mesh the flavours, approximately 1 more minute.
  • Taste and salt/spice as desired. I recommend a pinch of salt. Serve and enjoy warm!

We made the oats this morning for breakfast and added just peaches. It was soooo good. The addition of the peaches gives a little sweetness to the oats and is such a nice change.
