I was introduced to MOVA in early 2025, when I tried out their auto pet feeder. I had never heard of the brand before but was blown away by the intuitiveness of the app and the thoughtful designs, which made it a really good solution for those who needed to track particular feeding habit details related to your cat.

We were so impressed that when it was time for us to replace our old robot vacuum cleaner, we were inclined to purchase the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra, which has far exceeded our expectations too. That’s why when we decided to hop on board with the air fryer trend, we knew we’d want to see what MOVA had on offer. I’m going to highlight my real world review and thoughts of using the Mova Air Fryer below, in hopes you find it useful.

I had never used an air fryer before, so MOVA was my first trial at using these appliances, though I have since been sent other air fryers to test. However, we purchased the MOVA AeroChef FD10 Pro Air Fryer out of our own pockets, and this is not a sponsored post or review, but our real life experiences.

When unboxing we immediately noticed how modern the air fryer looks. It has a glossy surface and sleek interface, that appears almost buttonless when it’s turned off. While the exterior appearance is beautiful, my only gripe with the high gloss is how readily it shows finger prints and smudges. In practice though, our finger prints are contained to the small button area at the top and the handle, making it no big deal to wipe clean.

The interior is metal, with a sleek non-stick black finish that resists sticking foods. It’s very easy to wipe down after use, though we do occasionally add air fryer liners to make clean up easier. A 9″ air fryer paper liner allows us to keep any oilier food off the grill pan itself, while still allowing fantastic browning and crisping.

There’s not many parts to fiddle with assembling and cleaning- namely just the basket and interior pan.

Because there is no plastic interior, we don’t have any plastic smell that lingers on our food or in our kitchen as we cook. The metal interior seems less porous, easier to clean and easier to avoid unwanted odours.

The air fryer features a Dual HeatSync system. Where many air fryers only heat from the top, which means you’re constantly flipping food, this system works to distribute heat more evenly from both directions. This lets your favourite foods come out perfectly crisp with a lot less babysitting. Take a look at the diced potatoes, pictured lower on the page, as an example. I overfilled the basket with a few chopped potatoes and only did one flip. Even though the potatoes were stacked a bit on top of each other, they all turned out cooked through and with a nice, light crisp to them. Just what I was going for!

To adjust anything in the pan, you just need to pull out the basket and the cooking is immediately paused. Insert the pan back in and it resumes after closing, no reprogramming!

The MOVA air fryer also has a fairly generous viewing window which lets you take a quick peak at your food without pulling out the basket and interrupting the cook cycle, and has a handle internal light to illuminate the food, much like your oven. This works best for larger items, like seitan roasts, as it can be a bit difficult to see smaller items placed at the pan level. Speaking of roasts, this air fryer can pack in a lot of heat, which makes it fantastic at getting a nice sear on certain dishes.

The capacity of the basket is claimed to be 6L. This is a good size for the majority of what our family of 4 would cook, but I do wish it was a touch larger from time to time. However, given it’s ability to cook effectively even with some degree of “food stacking” it really does handle a lot of food. The basket itself is just shy of 9″x9″ and offers around 4.5″ of height after the pan is inserted. I think it would serve most appetites well cooking for 3 in a single run. Otherwise, expect to run a couple different batches through it for larger families.

Some people may not love the single basket design, but this is the trade off with the counter space. This unit is light to carry (I actually do pull it out of the cupboard to use) but still has a compact footprint that it doesn’t feel burdensome to make space for in the kitchen.

The touch screen is either going to be a love or hate feature for people. I didn’t love it at first, but now that I am used to its functions and more competent in using the air fryer, I have to say I do like the modern, minimalist look. Just keep a cloth handy to keep it wiped down!

perfectly crisp potatoes thanks to Mova AeroChef FD10 Pro air fryer
Diced potatoes tossed in oil, celery seeds, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder and salt and cooked to perfection in the MOVA AeroChef FD10 Pro air fryer.

Overall, the MOVA AeroChef FD10 Pro feels like a significant step up from standard air fryers, especially if you’re used to smaller, plastic-forward models. This one feels and looks like a high end appliance and it actually prioritizes food quality (and safety). We purchased our air fryer on sale directly from MOVA. I believe it was on an introductory Black Friday special offer for just over $100CA, a real steal for the features it provides!

If you’re wanting to avoid non-stick surfaces and looking for a glass air fryer, similar to the Ninja Crispi, I noticed MOVA seems to have their own equivalent in certain country’s line ups. It might be worth a peak if you like to advantages of a fully glass fryer.
