It’s hard to believe we’re already at the tail end of 2025. This year has moved quickly and been a true whirlwind. Before anything else, I want to say thank you. To everyone who has liked, commented, shared recipes, or simply spent time here: I’m deeply grateful. This space wouldn’t exist without you.

Like many years, this one has carried both highs and lows. There have been moments of joy and laughter, and moments that asked more of us than we expected. And yet, we’re still standing, still holding onto the memories that shaped us along the way.

Christmas feels especially meaningful in our home this year. My daughter has reached that age where the magic of Christmas morning feels very real. What’s been most touching, though, isn’t just her excitement for gifts, it’s her eagerness to do things for others. From insisting we bake cookies for Santa (though this may have been partly because she wanted a little taste test herself), to crafting small handmade gifts for family, she’s learning that joy is something we share.

Her little brother doesn’t quite grasp the traditions yet, but his wide smiles and constant desire to be wherever his sister is promise a holiday filled with sweet Hallmark moments.

And still, even with all this joy, there’s a tenderness to this season. This year has brought loss too, and celebrating without those we love – whether people or animal family members – makes the holidays feel different. If this has been a year of grief for you, please know you’re not alone. It’s okay if your holidays look quieter this year. It’s okay to rethink traditions, to step back, to hold space for both love and sadness. There is no expectation to feel cheerful just because the calendar says so.

I hope there is comfort for you in memories, and gentleness in whatever new chapters lie ahead.

I started this space only a few months ago, and the response has been far warmer than I ever expected. Whether you’re here for inspiration, for simple comfort, or you’re actively cooking and baking alongside us, thank you. This community has already become something meaningful to me.

As we look toward a new year, my hope is that 2026 brings healing where it’s needed, joy where it’s possible, and peace in whatever form feels right for you.

Thank you for being here.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and gentle, happy holidays.
