Creamy, chocolatey and perfectly Frosty! This vegan copycat frosty tastes just like the drive-thru favourite, made right at home with simple ingredients. Quick to throw together and impossible to resist, it's a fast family favourite!
To a large measuring cup or mixing bowl, stir all of the ingredients together until well incorporated and the sugar is dissolved.
Add to your slushie machine and set to "milkshake" mode. If you do not have a slushie machine, most ice cream machines should work too, but you will need to follow the machine's directions and remove once a soft, creamy consistency is achieved.
Once the machine has completed its cycle, serve into a cold glass and enjoy! Also tastes delicious topped with coconut whip and dark chocolate flakes.
Notes
A note on chocolate milk: We use Silk Almond Dark Chocolate Milk when making this recipe, however any non-dairy chocolate milk will work. When making or looking to purchase a chocolate milk, we do recommend creamier milk bases, such as almond, cashew or macadamia milk for best results. Pea milk would also work too if you avoid nuts.A note on chocolate syrup: It may surprise you how many conventional chocolate syrups are naturally dairy free/vegan. We use Nesquik Chocolate syrup, here in Canada. Always check the ingredients to ensure they are suitable for your needs.Don't have a slushie machine? I have not tried it, but theoretically you should be able to freeze the mixed ingredients together into ice cubes and then add to a blender with a splash of vegan chocolate milk and/or vegan half and half (less than 1/2 cup) to help the blades catch and pulverize until smooth. Pulse until thick and smooth.
